Biografía
Médico especialista en medicina interna, gastroenterología, endoscopia intervencionista y enfermedades hepáticas. Investigador clínico principal y co-investigador en líneas de investigación referentes a patología y trasplante hepático, hipertensión portal y patología biliopancreática, nacional e internacional.
Es instructor de posgrado de medicina interna en el Hospital de la Samaritana y universidad de La Sabana, profesor titular de posgrado en gastroenterología en la universidad del Rosario , director de 11 tesis de posgrado.
Consultor Externo Hepatitis B y C (2018) y Consultor Externo Guías Clínicas Hepatitis C (IETS 2019) del Ministerio Protección Social.
En la Asociación Colombiana de Hepatología ejerce como tesorero, secretario, vice-presidente (2007-2017), Presidente (2017–2019).
Reconocimientos como mejor presentación oral, ACADI 2011 y 2015, mejor póster, ACADI 2015 y 2019,mejor póster IX Congreso ACH 2017 y 2019.
Investigador senior de COLCIENCIAS , y grupo de investigación en enfermedades digestivas – gastrosur en el Hospital de la Samaritana y grupo de investigación en enfermedades gastrointestinales, hepáticas, biliopancreáticas y trasplantes de la Fundación Cardioinfantil.
Experiencia laboral en el Hospital Universitario de la Samaritana (1996- ) en donde se desempeñó como jefe de la unidad de gastroenterología (2008 – 2010), actualmente se desempeña como gastroenterólogo institucional desde 2011, además es miembro del grupo de trasplante de hígado en la Fundación Cardioinfantil.
